Websites for law firms.

Clients of a law firm rarely compare prices. They compare the impression of competence. A site that looks like a 2015 template undermines it before anyone reads a word about your practice areas. I build websites that carry authority and never get in the way of contact.

What actually decides the call

A client in trouble does not read, they scan. They look for three signals and a way to get in touch:

  • Do you handle MY case - practice areas written out separately (divorce, inheritance, commercial disputes, criminal defence), not one line reading "civil, criminal, commercial law".
  • Who exactly will represent me - a lawyer's profile: experience, publications, notable matters, bar membership. An anonymous firm is a firm without trust.
  • What it costs and how it works - the billing model (hourly, fixed fee, success fee) and how the first consultation runs, described even without quoting amounts.
  • How to get in touch right now - a tappable number on every screen, office hours, and a form that asks for one sentence about the matter.

For firms that serve international clients or foreign-owned companies, the same questions arrive in another language and often in another time zone. The website has to answer them without a receptionist.

What a considered site changes

For a law firm, the cinematic approach is quiet: generous space, a strong typographic voice, slow and precise motion. The structure is what does the selling.

  • Practice-area pages - one matter, one page. These are the pages that reach Google for specific searches and that AI search engines quote.
  • A "How we work" section - cooperation step by step. It is the part most read by clients who have never been to court.
  • Publications and commentary - articles and quotes from your lawyers build authority that Google and AI models treat as evidence of expertise.
  • Respect for professional ethics - I write in an informative tone, without sales tricks that could conflict with the rules of your bar association or law society.
  • Security and GDPR - a form without unnecessary fields, a privacy policy, no plugins sending data to unknown places.
  • A second language - when you serve foreign clients or companies with foreign capital.
  • A consultation request flow (web application layer) - optionally, a short guided form that sorts the matter by type and urgency and routes it to the right lawyer, instead of one shared inbox.

Three moments that earn trust

  • The matter-specific landing. A business owner searching for help with a contract dispute lands directly on your commercial litigation page. It names his problem in his words, explains the first steps and shows the partner who handles such cases. He does not need to look further.
  • The profile read. Before calling, a client opens the partner's profile and reads her background, her publications and how she runs a first meeting. The anonymous firm becomes a person with a name, and the call feels safe.
  • The one-sentence contact. At 9 pm, a client describes the matter in one sentence and leaves a number. In the morning your team already knows which lawyer should call back.

Matching work

There is no law firm case study in the portfolio yet. These are the closest projects:

  • MERITUM (in Polish) - a law firm concept by REELM. A working website, not a screenshot. Concepts are fictional brands built from scratch to show technology and finish.
  • MAJX - a fast, professional B2B company site for a fire protection firm, where trust and clarity matter more than effects.
  • DP Project - a B2B site for an electrical contractor that organises 27 projects with filters, so competence is visible in seconds.

How we work

  • 1. Brief - a short call about the firm, the practice areas that matter most and the clients you want more of.
  • 2. Free concept - a visual and typographic direction, approved before any code is written.
  • 3. Build - practice-area pages, profiles and contact flow on a live preview link you can follow at every step.
  • 4. Audit - performance on real phones, accessibility, GDPR, structured data for search and AI engines.
  • 5. Launch and care - domain, hosting, handover of code and accounts, and new pages as the practice grows.

Questions law firms ask

Can a law firm website look modern and still feel serious?
Yes, and that is the whole craft. Seriousness comes from typography, space and a calm rhythm, not from a navy header with a stock photo of a judge's gavel. The MERITUM concept is modern, and nothing in it shouts.

How much does a law firm website cost?
Every project is quoted individually after a short conversation, because two lawyers and a firm with five practice areas are different projects. The price is stated up front, with no hidden costs. Send two sentences about the firm and you get a free concept direction and a quote within 24 hours.

Will you help with the content?
Yes. Usually you provide the substance and I shape it into text that reads well and can be found in search. The final word on anything legal always stays with you.

Will the website be our property?
Yes. I hand over the code and all accounts. There is no subscription for the mere existence of the site and no lock-in to my system.

What about ranking for competitive searches like lawyer plus city?
The foundations of SEO and AI visibility are standard. Highly competitive phrases also need content and time, so I tell you plainly what is realistic in your case instead of promising first place.

Competence should be visible before the first call.

Tell me about the firm in two sentences. You get a free concept direction and a quote within 24 hours. Every project is quoted individually.
