Hair · beauty · aesthetics · extensions

Websites for beauty and hair salons.

A client chooses a salon in seconds and on emotion: does this place look like it will make me feel beautiful, and can I trust them with my hair or skin? Most salon websites answer with a price list and a stock photo of a smiling model. I build salon websites that show the level of the work from the first frame, prove it with real results, and lead straight to a booked appointment.

Why salon websites lose clients

A premium salon sells something a price list cannot show: the difference between a result that looks natural and one that looks done. Yet the typical salon site looks like a digital leaflet, a grid of services, a few photos and a phone number in the footer. A client comparing three salons sees three leaflets and picks the cheapest or the closest.

Instagram does part of the job, but it does not answer the practical questions. How long does a keratin treatment take? Is a consultation required before extensions? What happens if I need a refresh in six weeks? Do you speak English? When those answers are missing, the client sends a message, waits, and books wherever someone replied first.

International clients raise the bar again. Expats in Dubai, visitors in Lisbon, students in London: they search in English, often late in the evening, and they need to trust a salon they have never walked past.

What a cinematic site changes

A cinematic salon site behaves like the first minute in the chair: calm, precise, a little theatrical. It shows the space, the hands at work and the finished result, then makes booking effortless.

  • A scroll-video hero - a film of the salon played frame by frame as the client scrolls, edited like a montage: the light in the room, the tools, the hair in motion, the result.
  • A results gallery - a carousel with a lightbox, light thumbnails for fast loading and full-resolution images on tap, so the quality of the work is visible without waiting.
  • Services in the client's language - each treatment described the way clients search for it: duration, what to expect, aftercare, who it suits, with its own page that search and AI assistants can read.
  • Booking and an assistant (web application layer) - your booking system connected directly, plus an assistant and a form that answer common questions and send enquiries to you by email.
  • Bilingual or multilingual - full translations of content, assistant and form, with separate addresses per language; right-to-left layouts for Arabic can be built where your clients need it.

Everything is hand-coded, without page builders or monthly plugin fees, and the code and accounts are yours.

Three moments that book the chair

  • The first three seconds. The client opens the site from an Instagram bio and the hero film moves with her thumb: light on the mirror, long hair turning in slow motion. Before reading a word, she knows this is not a discount salon.
  • The before and after. She taps a result in the gallery and it opens full screen, sharp enough to see the blend at the roots. This is the moment trust is built, and it only works with real photographs of your own work.
  • The question at 10 pm. A client who just moved to the city asks in English whether extensions need a consultation first. The assistant answers, offers the consultation slot, and you find the enquiry in your inbox in the morning instead of a lost message.

Matching work

  • Hair Solution Clinic - a deployed site for a real client: Sylwia Sawicka's premium hair extension salon in Wrocław. A scroll-video hero with smooth scrubbing, a gallery carousel with lightbox, full Polish and English versions of content, chat and messages, an assistant and a form with email notifications, GDPR handling and a sound toggle. It passed a WCAG accessibility review and an 18-point design review and scores Lighthouse 90+. AI assets filled the gaps where footage was missing.
  • LUMEN - a live concept for a dental and aesthetic medicine clinic, built from scratch to show the interface, motion and typography of a calm, premium practice. The interface is in Polish; open it on your phone to judge the pace and readability.

If you run an aesthetics or medical practice rather than a salon, see websites for clinics.

How we work

  • 1. Brief - a short call about the salon, the services that matter most, the clients you want more of and the booking system you use.
  • 2. Free concept - a visual direction, usually with a moving preview of the hero, approved before any code is written.
  • 3. Build - pages, gallery, booking connection, assistant and languages, on a live preview link you can follow at every step.
  • 4. Audit - speed on real phones, accessibility, privacy notes, structured data so search and AI assistants understand your services and location.
  • 5. Launch and care - domain, hosting, handover of code and accounts, updates when prices or services change.

Everything runs remotely in English from Wrocław, Poland (CET), with call times that suit the UK, Portugal, the Gulf, Singapore or the US.

Questions salon owners ask

We already use a booking app. Can the website work with it?
Usually yes. Most salon booking systems offer a widget or a direct link to a service. I connect it so the client books from the website without feeling moved into a different product, and I keep a phone and message option for clients who prefer to talk first.

Where does the video for the hero come from?
Ideally from a short shoot in your salon, even on a good phone. Where material is missing, AI-generated video and imagery can fill gaps in mood and transitions, as on the Hair Solution Clinic site. Results of your work should always be real photographs.

Can the site be in two or more languages?
Yes. The Hair Solution Clinic site runs fully in Polish and English, including the assistant and the form. I can add further languages, including Arabic with a right-to-left layout, each with its own address so search engines show the right version to each client.

Will a video-heavy site be slow on phones?
Not when it is built carefully. The Hair Solution Clinic site scores 90+ in Lighthouse, serves its film with proper streaming support so scrubbing stays smooth, and gives clients who prefer less motion a calm version of the page.

How much does a salon website cost?
Every project is quoted individually, because a one-chair studio and a salon with a full team, price list and two languages are different jobs. Send two sentences about the salon and you get a free concept direction and a quote within 24 hours.
