A rental company where you race the car first.
VELOCE is a concept for a sports and premium car rental. Instead of a photo catalogue: an immersive website, a 3D carousel of the whole fleet with a colour configurator on real models, and a playable 3D racing game that rewards a good lap time with a rental discount code. The entire fleet was generated photorealistically on my own machine, with no stock imagery.

The challenge
Renting a sports car is selling an emotion, not a price table. Yet most rental companies look the same: a grid of photos, a form, a price list. Nothing captures why people come in the first place - the feeling of getting into their dream car.
The site had to play speed and class from the first second, let people "touch" the car before ordering it, and give a real reason to stay longer than one scroll - collecting a lead along the way.
What I built
A custom, immersive rental website plus a separate 3D racing game - one coherent brand world, no templates, refined in every detail of motion, light and sound.
- 3D fleet carousel - five cars as GLB models in a glass cylinder, rotated with the cursor or by touch, with specs (speed, grip, price per day).
- Colour configurator - the body colour changes live on the 3D model itself (material.color), not a tint over a photo - a genuine recolour of the car.
- The "Canyon Track" racing game - pick a car from the fleet and drive a canyon track with arcade physics (grip, sliding on oil, obstacles), 3 laps against the clock.
- A discount you play for - beating the time unlocks a -5% rental code, and a locally generated QR code leads straight to booking the chosen car.
- Touch controls - on a phone you are asked to rotate the screen, then get an analogue joystick plus accelerator and brake pedals; on desktop WASD or the arrow keys.
- Sound and atmosphere - a V8 engine sample modulated by speed (WebAudio), start lights, grandstands with fans, trackside dressing.

Craft and quality
The "wow" should draw people in, not get in the way of booking. The site and the game are consistent, fast and finished in detail:
- Real 3D, not 2D - the cars are GLB models (quantised/Draco), not flat photos; the configurator changes the material, not an overlay.
- Arcade physics - the direction of travel "catches up" with the heading (grip), sliding on oil, bouncing off barriers, obstacles that slow you down - driving has character instead of feeling rigid.
- Mobile done properly - responsive UI, orientation detection, an on-screen joystick and pedals; fixed HiDPI rendering (the car is always in frame).
- Sound under control - a clean V8 sample with no background noise, muted after the race and when returning to the site, plus a mute toggle.
- Privacy and standards - the discount code and QR are generated in the browser (nothing leaves the device), a GDPR note, JSON-LD/SEO, PL/EN, prefers-reduced-motion.
- Zero asset costs - the entire fleet (FLUX) generated locally, with full control and privacy.
The result
A rental company that is an experience: the customer spins the car in 3D, paints it in their colour, races it on the track and leaves with a discount code that leads straight to the booking. Gamification turns "I'll have a look" into "I'll stay and play" - and into a concrete lead. Ready for production deployment.
Your brand deserves the same.
I design and code sites like this personally - from the first frame and the 3D model to launch and gamification. Tell me about your project in two sentences and I will come back with an idea and a quote.
